In 1969 a group of Southampton residents united to form a community council that would reach out to young people in difficulty with drugs and to offer them aid. Their first project was to construct, erect and donate a pre-cut wooden dormitory building in Hillsdale, New York, that would provide a place for local youth in need of treatment, to prevent drug abuse and to serve as a drug addiction rehabilitation center.
Since then we have successfully evolved into a NY State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) licensed agency that provides medically supervised outpatient treatment and prevention programs for our schools and community in the East End Towns with two conveniently located facilities in Riverhead and Southampton.
