Alternatives’ Youth and Community Prevention Programs service over 3000 students and adults in the Eastern Long Island Community. We conduct the programs both in the schools and in the community using evidence-based programs and environmental strategies.

WELLNESS INITIATIVE FOR SENIOR EDUCATION

Educational tools to help seniors feel empowered about health and the healthcare received.

WRAP PROGRAM

The Wellness Recovery Active Plan®, or WRAP®, is an evidence based practice used with people of all ages who want to attain the highest possible level of wellness.

MEDICINE CABINET CAMPAIGN

This environmental strategy supports National Drug Take Back day by providing counter advertising, medicine cabinet inventory checklists, and radio PSA's to help keep prescription drugs off the streets and out of our waters.

PARENTS WHO HOST LOSE THE MOST

Public awareness campaign launched in the Township of Southampton and Riverhead to address the issues of underage drinking.

ACTIVE PARENTING

Helps parents of children ages 5 to 12 raise children who are able to resist peer pressure.

ACTIVE PARENTING OF TEENS

Helps parents with teenagers increase positive factors to prevent drug and alcohol use and irresponsible behaviors.

ABOVE THE INFLUENCE

Supports teens in "Living Above" the Influence of 21st century social challenges.

WHY TRY

The Why Try Program teaches social, emotional, and leadership principles.

TOO GOOD FOR DRUGS

Teaches K-12 students how to be socially competent and autonomous problem solvers.

TOO GOOD FOR VIOLENCE

Designed to enhance pro social skills and behaviors and improve protective factors related to conflict and violence.
